Thursday September 16th Café Europa will host the first event highlighting the abilities of two great area chefs.  Chef Bill Bailey, former Executive Chef of Stella Blu in Nashua, Platinum Plate winner from TV Diner Feb 09 along with a number of other awards and accolades.  Chef Rich Girard (that’s me) Owner of Café Europa, voted Best Chef Nashua Hippo Press 2009.  We will square off with the same ingredients.  With only our skills and imagination to help us, we will each create an anonymous eight item small plates menu plus two desserts.  It will be up to the public to decide with their orders whose cuisine will reign supreme!  The winners menu will run for the rest of that weekend.

As if that wasn’t enough, Café Europa will also have Nashua’s most creative mixologiest Jared Bracci.  He will be creating the complementary cocktail that evening, “The Apple Picker”, a vodka based martini that placed eighth in a national competition.  Jared is also known for his musical abilities and he will be performing that evening playing songs off his forthcoming CD due to be released in early 2011.

This night promises to be exciting as well as entertaining, seating is limited so be sure to make a reservation, as I already have a few on the books before the official announcement of the evenings events.

Remember Café Europa is BYOB with a $7.50 corking fee, and if you support local businesses we’ll support you, 10% off your food if you present a receipt from Wine Not Boutique, 170 Main St,  from the same day.
